Contents, the global leader in B2B SaaS solutions for enterprise content management, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Zulla, a major competitor, further solidifying its market dominance in Europe. This merger represents a pivotal move towards integrating complementary technologies.
The decision is the result of a strategic phase in which the representatives of the two companies, Massimiliano Squillace, CEO of Contents, and Mario Petruccelli, CEO of Zulla and now Head of Product at Contents, explored the potential for closer collaboration.
The acquisition, finalised on July 5, 2024, integrates Zulla into Contents, bringing its technology and innovation into the new entity. This strategic integration aims to offer customers a unified and enhanced product, further accelerating Contents’ presence in the European and global markets.
Massimiliano Squillace, CEO of Contents, commented on the acquisition: “This merger marks a milestone for Contents. Joining forces with Zulla, a brand I have always admired in the European market, allows us to enhance our offerings and accelerate our mission to revolutionise content creation through AI. The integration of our technologies will bring extraordinary benefits to our corporate clients. Our content orchestration platform and AI agents will improve efficiency and personalization of content, radically transforming business workflows.”
Mario Petruccelli, CEO of Zulla, added: “We are thrilled to join Contents. The shared vision and complementarity of our technologies will enable us to offer even more advanced and personalised solutions to our clients.”
Zulla, launched in 2021 as a Semplifai brand, immediately stood out for its emphasis on user experience (UX) and functional design. In just two years, it has gained significant popularity in the Italian market, engaging 23,000 users and establishing partnerships with SMEs and large corporations across various sectors.
Contents S.p.A. was assisted by Synopia S.t.p., with partner Avv. Alberto Greco handling the negotiation, corporate, and contractual aspects, while Semplifai and its partners were assisted by KBL Law. The KBL Law team, consisting of Daniele Costa and Roberto Alma, managed the negotiation of the final agreements and related documents, as well as the legal issues and corporate obligations related to the execution of the Exit operation.
